PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Lawford is a large village located to the east of Colchester. Wilby & Burnett were appointed by Lawford Football Club to design their new clubhouse, to be located adjacent to their existing football pitch on the site of some old storage containers. In addition to a full design service, quantity surveying and contract administration throughout the construction phase, we assisted the client in obtaining funding through the Football Foundation.
We used the Football Foundation’s requirements as the basis for our brief:
- Four team changing rooms
- Two officials changing rooms
- A multi-purpose/ teaching room with a bar and kitchen
- Storage space
The project was completed on site in seven months and cost £460,000.
